​On Saturday February 21st, a group of dads and daughters from Mountain Nation Tribes spent their afternoon doing something bigger than themselves — serving at Feed My Starving Children.

Members from the Kiowa, Navajo, Osage and Zuni tribes came together with hairnets on, sanitized hands and music playing in the background. They worked side by side scooping rice, soy, dried vegetables, and vitamins into meal packets that will be shipped to children in Haiti. It was fast-paced, meaningful work, and perfect for the tribes to come together and give back to the community. For the Mountain Nation Tribes fathers and daughters, it wasn’t just about packing food. It was about connection. Dads coached their daughters through leveling scoops of rice. Girls double-checked seal lines on the bags. There were high-fives after full boxes were weighed and sealed. In just a couple of hours, the group helped pack thousands of meals — each one representing hope for a child facing hunger.

What made the day special was watching service and leadership modeled in real time. Fathers showed up not just to help, but to demonstrate compassion in action. Daughters stepped up with focus and enthusiasm, proving that even small hands can make a global impact.

The Mountain Nation came together once again at Camp Edwards in early February for the annual winter campout. This campout was filled with laughs, fires, ice skating, archery and rockets. Dads and daughters had a BLAST doing all the activities especially shooting off all the rockets. The girls came up with great songs, continued building tribal bonds, left with some fun raffle prizes and best of all made long lasting memories with their dads.
